Culture means so much more

language | customs | beliefs | values

We believe inclusion, diversity, and understanding stems from learning about various cultural groups’ points of view.

Our Principles

Define culture broadly.

Value cultural beliefs.

Recognize complexity.

Facilitate learning.

Institutionalize cultural competence.

Cultural competence is an ongoing process

Professionals continually seek to develop the skills that enable them to effectively work within the cultural context of their community. A crucial aspect of successful corporate and social environments when working with people from different cultural backgrounds is to know about the cultural practices, values, and beliefs of others.

Success Leadership Center trains effective work in cross-cultural situations among agencies and professionals.

Cultural and linguistic competence is a set of congruent behaviors, attitudes, and policies that come together in a system, agency, or among professionals that enables effective work in cross-cultural situations.

We support organizations to demonstrate behaviors, attitudes, policies, and structures that enable them to work effectively cross-culturally. While building the capacity to value diversity, manage the dynamics of difference, and adapt to the cultural contexts of the communities they serve. We advocate for the integration and transformation of policymaking, administration, and practice, with the involvement of key stakeholders, and communities, to increase the quality of services; thereby producing better outcomes.
